4U/44HP PXIe Chassis with 8 Slots and PCIe Gen2/3

The 4U/44HP PXI Express desktop chassis provide 7 hybrid-compatible slots for 3U PXIe boards and one system slot. 3 of the hybrid peripheral slots are connected via PCIe Gen 3 links with x4 lanes. The remaining 4 hybrid peripheral slots are connected via PCIe Gen 2 links with 1 lane each. Schroff's 14579-030 and 14579-033 chassis use a PCI segment with a dedicated PCIe-to-PCI bridge module for the hybrid slots. The PXI-specific high accuracy clocks and trigger signals are generated and controlled by an independent clock module on the rear of the backplane. The chassis have a 540W open frame power supply and are cooled from the bottom to the rear with two 80mm temperature-controlled fans. 50W power per slot at 15K temperature rise is thus possible.
