2U VPX Computer System

The 2U VPX system VPX-2U-MIL is intended to be the european alternative to the C4ISR system architecture. It is designed to pass MIL-Std testing and is intended for use under several environmental conditions. The system operates conduction-cooled in the temperature range from -45°C to +85°C. The chassis is waterproof and dustproof according to IP67. The chassis can be used as a backplane: 3x3 slot open VPX full mesh or 1x7 or 1x9 slot SOSA aligned VPX incl. switch slot. The system requires an internal DC power supply and allows a maximum power dissipation of 350W.

The interfaces are available via a MIL 38999 circular connector in the front and connected separately via a corresponding junction cable and/or fiber. Special plugs are also available on request. The chassis surface is colorless passivated on the inside and powder-coated or anodized on the outside. The color may be selected from different RAL tones. The internal structure is 2U. The external dimensions are approx. 20 mm higher due to the cooling element arrangement.
