Data Privacy Statement of powerBridge Computer Vertriebs GmbH

 

  1. General References
    powerBridge Computer Vertriebs GmbH with registered office in Germany, 30938 Burgwedel, Ehlbeek 15a (powerBridge Computer) is committed to use the data of website users, business partners, potential buyers and job applicants only in line with legal guidelines, and to protect these data carefully. In this document we explain which data we process, how we use it, and your legal rights to ask for information, correction, deletion, and how to complain.

 

  1. Data Controller
    powerBridge Computer, as identified in chapter 1, is the data controller regarding all personal data processing in terms of the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in the context of business connections and communication with the company. Please direct any enquiries and complaints to our data protection officer via eMail to DPO@powerbridge.de.

 

  1. Processing of Personal Data
    Whenever you contact powerBridge Computer, whether by phone, in writing or using our website, we record your voluntarily provided personal data. We collect and file them, e.g. when you are asking for technical information, soliciting a quotation, or placing an order.

    We record the personal data of customers, suppliers, applicants, and people asking for technical or commercial information. In detail we save salutation, degree, name, address, phone numbers, eMail address, job title, industrial sector, product categories of interest, and in individual cases also the date of birth. And we file the documents provided by applicants. The legal basis for the data storage is the European GDPR article 6(1a) and for business partners article 6(1b).

    When you use our website anonymous data are recorded. These data provide statistical information on the use of our website. It is not possible to assign the data to a person or an IP address.

 

  1. Cookies
    We only use one technically necessary cookie. The cookie “wp-wpml_current_language” saves the value “de”, if you use the website in german or  “en”, if you use the website in englisch. The cookie is deleted after the browser session.

 

  1. Purposes of Data Processing
    marketing purposes like advertising letters or eMails. This includes the consignment of technical or commercial information, offers, order confirmations, shipments, invoices, and product or service information. Applicants data are used only during the application procedure. powerBridge Computer keeps your data as required by legal obligations, e.g. the requirements of financial authorities or commercial law. Although data may still be kept, in particular as it may be necessary to protect our interests related to potential liability related to this data processing.

 

  1. Recipients of Personal Data
    powerBridge Computer may pass your personal data to other persons or groups of persons. These may be:
    a) persons or companies advising powerBridge Computer in legal, financial or tax matters, or providing accounting or administration services,
    b) authorities in line with legal obligations, or
    c) companies providing network or software services to powerBridge Computer.

 

  1. Transfer to Third Countries
    powerBridge Computer does not transfer personal data to third countries, except you buy US products. When you purchase products with US origin from us it may be necessary to forward your data to the manufacturers of these products to comply with the US export regulations. In any case this data transfer requires strictly your written approval.

 

  1. Data Retention Period
    Personal data accumulated in the context of powerBridge Computer’s day-to-day business will be retained according to the legal guidelines from financial authorities and commercial law. Personal data used by powerBridge Computer for direct marketing will no longer be processed for such purposes, as soon as you object the processing, but we will keep the data for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims.Applicants personal data will be deleted within six months after completion of the application procedure.

 

  1. Rights of the Data Subject
    At any time, you have the right to obtain confirmation from powerBridge Computer as to whether or not your personal data are being processed, and if this is the case, which data we are using. On request you will receive of copy of these data. You have the right to request rectification or erasure of personal data or restriction of processing of personal data. Further you have the right to object at any time to the processing of personal data, when you believe that the processing is unnecessary or otherwise unlawful. Finally, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

 

  1. Data Security
    powerBridge Computer carefully keeps your data safe. We process your data exclusively in our company-internal network and do not use any cloud services. Your data are secured by access control, access protection, and access restriction to the persons assigned for data processing. Appropriate protection strategies enable us to recover our data fast and completely from data loss, server failure, fire, sabotage, or natural catastrophes.
