TPMC861 4 Channel Serial Controller with Insulated RS422/485 Interfaces

Four channels of high performance RS422/485 HD/FD serial interface. All four channels of the TEWS Technologies TPMC861 are insulated from the system and against each other by optocouplers and DC/DC converters.

The serial channels are accessible through a DB25 connector mounted in the front panel and via P14. Each channel has a 128 byte transmit FIFO and a 128 byte receive FIFO. The FIFO trigger thresholds are programmable.

All channels generate interrupts on PCI interrupt INTA. For fast interrupt source detection the TPMC861 provides a special interrupt status register. Each input and output of all channels is protected against electrostatic discharge up to 15 kV.

A wide range of drivers is available: Linux, Integrity, QNX, VxWorks and Windows. All drivers - except the Windows drivers - are supplied as C source code.
