TCP465, TCP466, TCP467 3U CompactPCI 4 or 8 Port Serial RS232/422/485 Controller with Programmable Interfaces

3U CompactPCI 4 or 8 port serial RS232/422/485 controller with programmable interfaces. The TCP465 and TCP466 modules come with different types of front panel connectors. The TCP465 module has 8 channels with an HD50 connector, the TCP466's have 4 ports and HD50, and the TCP467's have 4 ports with RJ45 connectors. Optional all modules also offer J2 I/O.

RS232 channels support RxD, TxD, RTS, and CTS, and RS422 channels support RxD+/- and TxD+/-. RS485 channels can operate in 4-wire full duplex or 2-wire half duplex mode. The modules have front I/O via a HD50 connector and optional J2 I/O.

Each channel has 64 byte transmit and receive FIFOs. The FIFO trigger thresholds, and the baud rates are individually programmable: up to 921.6 kbps for RS232 channels, and 5.5296 Mbps for RS422/485 channels. All channels generate interrupts on PCI interrupt INTA. For fast interrupt source detection the UART provides a special global interrupt source register. All channels use transceivers with 15 KV ESD protection. The modules have an operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C.

A wide range of drivers is available: Linux, Integrity, QNX, VxWorks and Windows. All drivers - except the Windows drivers - are supplied as C source code.

The modules are also available as TPMC465/466 modules in PMC form factor.
